The master suite was one of my favorite transformations in the house. This space had so much untapped potential when we found it.
In the bedroom, we went from tuscany red and muddy, putty yellow-ey to calm and serene.
I had some great helpers with the painting!
This is how the room looked for the majority of the time we lived there (mess and all!)
For staging, we upgraded the headboard and nightstands. I found the nightstands second hand and used our trusty Benjamin Moore Nimbus paint to transform them.
The master bath had so much tile work, electrical, drywall repair and detailing that needed to be done.
We decided to hire out the transformation of this room…we know our limits, friends. The timing actually worked out perfectly for me! I left it looking like this…
And I went to play with kids in Colombia with these fine people!
Brad held down the fort for a week with 5 kids and renovations. (I totally scored in the marriage department!) He sent me these pictures while I was gone:
And this is what it looked like when I got home.
A little staging, and this was the final product!
Here is what the master closet looked like when we moved in:
We also had some work done in here while I was gone.
Brad and I constructed the pieces of the closet and then had them installed professionally.
What a treat this space was–a true master retreat!
